In 1991, Dolceria Appettitosa was founded by Maurice and Roberta Grech in Gharghur

and a couple of years later another shop was opened in Rabat. They both had humble beginnings, gathering experience in the catering industry and working in a number of leading hotels in Malta. Their shared passion for cooking, bringing people together through food and providing satisfaction to their customers ensured the company always delivered on its promise of leaving the customer with a pleasent after taste.

From selling dry cakes and pastries to local supermarkets and catering for small events and family weddings, the business grew to cater for numerous weddings, events, parties and selling cakes, pastries and other goods through the Gharghur and Rabat shops. Investments have continuously been made to innovate and provide new offerings to our customers. The family business grew throughout the years with our family, and as clients recognised the company and its team's effort to deliver exceptional products made from genuine ingredients, which still feel 'homemade'.
